
Mr. Garriott is a space explorer, award-winning computer game developer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and adventure traveler. Garriott launched aboard a Russian Soyuz TMA-13 spacecraft to the International Space Station and became the sixth private citizen to fly in Earth’s orbit and the first second-generation American in space. Previously, he established with his brother, Robert, Origin Systems, Inc., a global leader in the entertainment software industry, which was acquired by Electronic Arts (EA). He and his brother also formed Destination Games, which eventually became part of NCsoft, and where he continued to develop innovative new products.
