Talented PreK-12 Student Artists From Across The Planet Heard Our Call!

The 2012 Space Foundation Student Art Contest is now closed for judging and we are no longer accepting entries.
We are thrilled with the level of participation we had this year as we’ve received hundreds of entries from creative and inspired young artists from around the world. We are also genuinely impressed with how students have artistically interpreted our theme of “Space is Infinite – Explore.” We plan on displaying all of the entries we have received on various walls throughout our new headquarters.
We sincerely thank all student artists, host teachers and parents for your participation, interest and support to make this contest a huge success. Due to the sheer volume of entries we have received, we are unfortunately unable to communicate our appreciation and confirm receipt of each entry with each participant individually.
Update!
Our team is now busy at work – processing and preparing artwork for judging, which will be held in early March. All winners will be contacted by April 1, followed by the awards ceremony to honor the winners - held Monday, April 16 at the 28th National Space Symposium, in Colorado Springs, Colorado at The Broadmoor Hotel. Winners, their teachers and parents will be invited and provided with full details.
Winning artwork and artists will receive a great deal of exposure throughout the year – they will be displayed at the 28th National Space Symposium, April 16 – 19, for more than 9000 global participants to view and enjoy and will also be featured at other venues throughout the year, including Space Foundation headquarters.

More than 150 students from 13 states entered last year's Space Foundation Student Art Contest and 36 winning works of art were recognized and displayed at the 27th National Space Symposium.
