Mr. Desch, chief executive officer of Iridium Communications, Inc., has more than 30 years experience in telecommunications management, and more than 20 years in the global wireless industry. His responsibilities include leading Iridium's innovation and growth, including taking the company public on NASDAQ and completing financing for the launch of Iridium NEXT, Iridium's next-generation network to begin launching in 2015. Previously, Desch served as the chief executive officer of New Jersey-based Telcordia Technologies, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
