Mr. Andrew Sukawaty

Mr. Sukawaty is chairman of Inmarsat PLC. With more than 30 years experience in communications service, including telephone, wireless, cable TV and satellite, he has been involved in launching some of the first cellular mobile phone systems in the United States. Previously, he served as chief executive officer of Inmarsat; he started a UK mobile operator (now T-Mobile UK); ran NTL Ltd in the UK; and started Sprint PCS in the United States. Sukawaty earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota.
