General Cooning is vice president and deputy general manager of Space and Intelligence Systems (S&IS) for Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems. Cooning also serves as leader of the Advanced Space and Intelligence Systems organization within S&IS. A retired Major General from the United States Air Force, he was most recently director of Space Acquisition in the Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force. Cooning earned his bachelor’s degree in aviation management from the School of Engineering at Auburn University, Alabama, and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.
